Dotti G. Bechtol
Health Hope Network
Dotti G. Bechtol has been associated with Health Hope Network since 1995 and served as Board Chair from 2000 to February of 2004. She became Executive Director in 2004, assuming responsibilities for day-to-day operations.
Immediately prior to Health Hope Network, she was Business Manager of Bechtol and Lee, a corporate labor law firm in Pittsburgh, for five years. Ms. Bechtol spent 15 years in the steel industry in Pittsburgh and Chicago.
She spent the bulk of her career in the steel industry as Vice President of Administration for The Levinson Steel Company, a steel service center, and was with the company for 15 years. She was responsible for risk management, human resources, real estate, labor relations, public relations, and advertising; and was part of a four-person acquisition team that built the company from sales of $36 million, one location, and one subsidiary to sales of $250 million, 24 locations, and three subsidiaries.
After her time at Levinson she became the Acting General Manager of Industrial Steel Construction, Inc., a steel fabricating facility in Chicago, for two years. She was responsible for all divisional operations, including manufacturing, sales and marketing, and accounting.
Bechtol graduated summa cum laude from Chatham College, where she is a member of the Visibility and Marketing Committee. She is Co-Chair of the Board of Governors of the Rivers Club and is chair of the Athletic Committee. A member of the Allegheny County Immunization Coalition, Bechtol serves on their Education Committee. Her hobbies include car racing and racing instruction.
